Reno homebrew store12/30/2023 Will Durham, neon sign collector, has already agreed to buy the "Glass Co." portion of the neon sign for his future museum. Eventually, they will take down the right half of the building's exterior to expose its original brick. New owners, Jesse Corletto and Patrick Ogle will spend the next year converting the space, which is currently full of trash and personal belongings from the former owners. The building was designed by Frederic DeLongchamps, a famous architect who also designed the train depot now called The Depot Craft Brewery Distillery. He also is well known for designing The Post Office by the Virginia Street Bridge, Washoe County Court House and many other historic art deco buildings in the region. Fourth Street across from The Depot Craft Brewery Distillery will revive the Reno Brewing Company name and add Alpine Lofts by the end of 2016. Three of them will be in the unofficial, undefined Brewery District centered around East Fourth Street that should probably eventually be officially called the Brewery District.įor each new brewery or distillery, business owners revitalize vacant buildings both because of their historic and cosmetic value, but also because they are cheaper than new ones. Two new breweries, two distilleries and a brewery-distillery are in the works to open in Reno over the next 12 months, adding to the constantly growing craft liquor scene in town.
